dual monitors and mini display ports

i have recently built my self a computer and my graphics card is a radeon gigabyte hd 7950 3gb, and i am wanting to run 3 monitors but it has 1xVGA 1xHDMI and 2xMini Display Ports. i will either be running all 3 the same as each other VGA or HDMI. But the only mini display port adapters i can find are apple. I was just wondering if the apple adapters from mini display to hdmi or vga will work on a windows custom built pc.
Any response will be much appreciated. 😀

the adapters are universal or atleast they should be.

you just want to make sure you buy an active adapter.

So will the apple ones work though?

i do not know, if it says it is an active adapter then yes, if its a passive adapter then you will not be able to do triple display as you can only share a normal video signal between 2 ports and you need an active adapter on the third.

apparently only the apple mini display port to dual link dvi adapter is active which is what you need and the normal mini displayport to dvi is passive which will not work for you.
