I'm new to having multiple monitors on my PC but is there a way to keep my games to a single, chosen monitor? I have no interest in using the other while I play and don't want it in use since my gpu probably can't handle the load of both screens.

Solution
Games should always open on the primary monitor. They will not use 2 unless you have it set up that way in the driver or configured that way in some specific games. There are also of course driver settings, and pushing windows + P will cycle through output modes to quickly turn off the second monitor all together. Although it doesn't really add any load to the GPU just sitting on the desktop.
