Hello,

I recently purchased a GeForce GTX 970 card and want to use a dual monitor setup using 1 HDMI and 1 DP input. With some work, I was able to set up the multiple displays, but upon rebooting my system, it defaults back to only the single monitor. I am able to set up the 2nd monitor again, but every time I Shut Down/Restart I lose the 2nd monitor.

Any ideas on how to correct this? Do I need to be using the DVI inputs instead?

Thanks in advance!

Is it normal that the only way to setup the 2nd monitor is by Enabling Surround (which I don't want) and then Disabling it? This seems extremely tedious. Thanks for the response.

Honestly, if you can, just use windows to configure your desktops - it will save it properly and load on boot. And no, that isn't normal

shouldn't need to at all. Set it up in windos as an extended display, right click on windows background, screen resolution etc. that should do it.

Can you please tell me the idle clocks that you see when you do get two screens running as I'm looking to understand how it works, earlier gpu's struggled.

I cannot set up the display in Windows. It detects the 2nd monitor, but when I select extend display, it defaults back to "Show desktop only on x." It is switching back to only one monitor even after a reset, not only after a cold boot. I switched from a failing AMD card, but at least that would keep my multiple display setup after reset.

@13thmonkey - I'm not sure I entirely understand your question, but I am seeing 135 MHz currently (not in game).
