Should i get a e8400, im going to overclock this to 3.6Ghz or should i get a Q8200, oc this to 2.8 Ghz. I going to use this comp for gaming, and maybe tiny bit of video editing. What should i get, i can't get Q6600, or Q9 series, way over budget already.

Here my specs, please comment for change

i know you're buying intel but wait till after monday, amd is having a launch and it will most likely effect prices of everything, as intel reprices it's cpu's to match amd's nowadays, you might get a break on that q6600.

I know it's tough, i'm waiting too.

Dont go for a q8200, really no that great chips.

As it stands now, gaming only really requires a good dual core, especially if it has a high clock speed, say a e7700 (low scale) or e8600. But it will be the case that everything will be optimised for quad soon enough, even games (GTA4 being an example).

I would hold out like rosenberg1979 says and see what the price of the q6600 is like.

Sigh.... Anyways I'm not buying it from a online store, so maybe ill just get the e8400 today, and if the price falls, the stores has a good match the price 7 days policy. So, ill have till next saturday, if the price does change. I don't really want to go online, so i probably wont get the Q6600 anyways
