I would like to ditch Windows completely but having tried unsuccessfully to run ESO on Linux have decided to keep a Windows installation on my pc.

I have purchased a 128gb SSD (currently I only have a HDD) and want to reformat the HDD completely. I know this drive is small but finances dictate that it is the max I can buy.

Windows dislikes Linux and the last time I tried to install both, it was only successful if the Linux install was done after Windows was installed.

My plan is to primarily use Linux and to install that on the SSD, and install Windows on the HDD only for playing ESO.

Am I being ridiculous with this configuration? Am I likely to run into problems with trying to install Windows on the HDD after the SSD install of Linux? Comments and suggestions please.

Thanks Pop! I am aware that dual boot is a regular thing, but I am used to having both OS on the same drive, and then getting the option "which OS" on boot. In the end I put windows to the hdd and Linux to the ssd, selecting the ssd as being the default, irrespective of where it is plugged into the mobo. It works fine for me and although the hdd is read-only from Linux that does not currently matter to me while I decide which version I am going to settle with.

Your response was much appreciated.
