Dual PC setup for streaming - using an Elgato HD60x capture card.

I'm running into this problem where just by simply cloning my main display to my capture card so my streaming PC can receive the signal, I lose about 15-20% performance on my gaming PC. This is verified through benchmarks. As soon as I unplug the capture card, frame performance is back to normal. Is this just, a necessary/expected thing since I'm cloning displays? I expect obviously some performance hit, but I thought it would be a negligible amount, whereas this is pretty significant.

I had the same issue with a 3070 TI. I reinstalled the Nvidia drivers with clean install option. And made sure all energy savings settings were off, and performance on full. It improved my FPS and stuttering drastically.

It was night and day with capture card plugged in vs out.
