Dual PCI express compatible with geforce 8800 GT

I'm unsure whether my geforce 8800 GT will work with a motherboard with dual pci express x16 with SLi.

What motherboard? If it has a Nvidia chipset the answer is likely yes, if the chipset is Intel, VIA, or ATI then the answer is likely no.
