Dual screen GPU/APU

Hello there!
Next month we are buying a tv with my gf, question is : is it possible to use APU for dualscreen? I'd play games on my current monitor using the dedicated card (MSI Radeon R7 370 2G) and my partner'd watch series and shows using the APU on the tv , same computer , HDMI cables.
Is this a thing ? Should i just buy a budget card instead ?

You can connect up to 3 screens to MSI Radeon R7 370 2G and do different things on each but the question is if the rest of computer can handle so much multitasking.
