dual setup with different mhz

Hi guys i have a single nvidia gtx 980 gpu installed with i7 975 cpu 12gb 1600mhz ram my question is can i run
ONE 2560 x 1440 165 mhz g sinc monitor for gaming on and a second monitor 1920 x 1080 60hz for web browsing etc
im looking at max res for gtx 980 and it 5120 x 3200 on nvidia site but this is based on 60 hz only
any help appreciated thanks

Yep. I have a Acer Predator running at 165hz 1440P as my primary and a old Dell 1920x1200 running at 60hz. Been using this type of configuration for nearly 10 years across generations of video cards. In fact I had a GTX 780 Ti with my current setup and it work fine. Now i'm using a RTX 2080.

That 5120x3200 is for that seemless multi panel thing. GRID or something. I never used it and that isn't what you will be using either. That is for 2-3 identical monitors spanning one image.

yeah it was a toss up for me with the predator and the Dell S2417DG QHD G-Sync 24 Inch
in the end i went with the dell
thanks for the info yeah im already using dual setup on two 1920 x 1080 using display ports
ive seen some good reviews about upgrading to 120mhz upwards (a real i opener)
