Hello, I recently found out there is Dual Tau Boost in my motherboard BIOS.

When I Enable it and tested with synthetic benchmark (Cinebench R23) and the performance in the top of i9 9880H, but when i disable it the performance below the i9 9880H.

When I look at the power consumption in HWINFO, when it enabled, the power consumption sightly stable but lower than when I disable it. Which mean, when I enable it, the wattage doesnt jump that much as i disable it.

The question is, what exactly Dual TAU Boost?

I've read some forum and says that is power saving feature from ASRock.

Edit : Also, when I enabled it. The clock speed decreased from arround 4.4GHz to 3.6GHz.

Dual TAU Boost is a timing variable that tells the processor how long (in seconds) can it stay within PL 2, before having to retreat to PL 1. Leave it on. boost about 100+Mhz
also understand Dual Tao boost is ignored if “DPTF” is enabled .

I'd just enabled it, seems like it giving me more benefit in performance and fixing some variables number on PL1 and PL2 and the clock speed gone to maximum freqeuency.

When You enable Dual Tau Boost the CPU will work on self timing and power table (example: 89W, 4300MHz 2,8 second short time, later 60W, 3200MHz long time). You don't change these values.
When You disable, You maybe take these values, long and short time power, time in second, etc.
