Duel boot reinstall

Hello community i need help with my duel boot i have windows 7 and linux mint cinnamon 17.3 in a duel boot windows is installed on my main drive while linux mint is install on another drive Linux stopped processing sound right so i need to reinstall it how would i go about doing this?

Just take the drive with Windows on it out so that the only hard drive in the machine is the one with Linux on it, then run the install media and overwrite the current install.

Taking the Windows drive out makes sure that you don't accidentally install Linux on the drive you're using for Linux.

ok should i take out any usb or any other external drives that are presented?

Only if you're worried you might accidentally install to them instead of the Linux hard drive, it's your choice.

Ok I'm on mobile know and I have the drive it's saying the name but I can't install to it I get this error
No root file system is defined
Please correct this from the partitioning menu

Okay I'm not the best at diagnosing Linux, so I'll leave the question open for someone like SR-71 Blackbird to stumble across and help you out a little better than I can

Yea me duel booting in the first place was luck like I'm using something else part of install not install alone
