Question Duel Monitors work when bios loads but not when windows loads

My duel monitors worked fine for over a year. I adjusted the resolution on one of them.
Now, I get "Input not support" on the other monitor. I have tried many different trouble shooting techniques to no avail.

However, I have noticed that when I've restarted both monitors work as the bios loads. But when windows boots up, the second monitor's display goes black with a "input not supported" message.

This monitor is attached to a vga to hdmi adapter. I dont know why it just suddenly stopped working.

I've tried to:
  1. Unplug power and unplug cables and wait a few before plugging back in
  2. Reset resolution back to where it has been for a year or more.
  3. Have windows DETECT the monitors (monitor not detected error) - which is strange bc it works on boot up until windows loads
  4. Adjust the projection to duplicate, extend.
  5. Switch ports.
a. If i unplug my main monitor, my second monitor picks up and works normally.
b. Plug main monitor back in and second one goes back to "input not supported"
6. Looked for latest drivers.

This has stumped me and I could really use a big brain to come to the rescue.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

See if you can revert your issues, using DDU to rid your entire platform of any GPU driver remnants. On a side note, can you please parse the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
+ the adapters you're using in tandem with your system and monitors.
