Duel psu side affects

Long story short I need to temporarily use a bunch of hdd and optical drives on my desktop. It doesn’t have case size to fit them so I was just going to open the side panel stack the drives and plug them in the sata ports then get a second psu and plug in for the power and use the whole paper clip jumping method. Will there be any harm to any of the parts. what if left on and the computer wasn’t using the drives

I dont think so. Very unusual however. There are cases designed for this I believe. Just watch out for the heat.
