Duoble Desktop Shortcuts

Hello. For some reason my PC has double shortcuts on my desktop, also in
my start menu if I click on e.g media player there are two entries i.e
media player and madia player (2). I know I can delete them manually,
but is there an easier way.

Right click the item there is two of and hit delete, then go to your recycle
bin and empty it.

icons. If one icon is deleted, other will also be deleted. ]]
