Question During gaming all my games freeze randomly

About a week now, during gaming all my games freeze randomly and mouse cursor appears on the screen. What to do? yesterday upgraded gpu driver but no change🙁

What are the complete specs (make/model of all components) for this system? Particularly the GPU and PSU.

Ram: 16gb ram
Gpu: gtx 1080ti founders edition
Ssd: samsung evo 860 1tb
Os: windows 10

Do you know how old it is?

Are you overclocking anything?

What are your CPU and GPU operating temperatures at idle and under load?

Psu is almost 2 years old, gpu temperature on full load is 85 degrees celsius

Sounds like overheating, but since you only provide some info, it could be something else.

What CPU cooler are you using? The stock Intel one?

Cpu cooler is 3rd party, temperature 40 degrees. Game freezes only during cutscenes

Has the GPU cooler ever been repasted?

Which exact PSU and which 3rd party cooler? They are not all the same. As @COLGeek suggested. Details matter.

Also, what motherboard do you have, and what bios is it running.

Defo sounds like GP overheating. It should be running cooler than 85c.

Mainboard : msi z690 edge-wifi, Gpu on current game runs at 45-50 degrees so no overheat I think
