Solution

If i were in your shoes i'd seriously consider one that has USB 3.0 internal mobo leads.
If that isn't a big deal(use the USB 3.0 at back) plenty of great cases i linked.
The Phantom and Corsair are priced really well.
Didn't link any crappy cases, buy whatever you prefer.
I own a CM 690II and the Antec 902 and like both of them.
The Storm Enforcer features internal Usb 3.0( mobo header) = bonus(others require you to route cables out the back to the mobo rear ports)
The Corsair is a good deal atm.
The Phantom is the cheapest i've ever seen it.

i saw that on some reviews on newegg, the cm 690II have some grounding issues causing a shutdown whenver the front panel usbs are touched. Did this ever happen to you?

Nope and i've owned it since 2009.
Even changed out internals(mobo, gpu, cpu, ram, hsf) once and never had an issue.

i'm going to assume that the source of this issue was that the case was placed on a static surface. What surface is your case resting on?

also did you add any additional fans for better air flow? The hyper 212 evo will fit right?

My cases are all off the floor on small side tables.
Yeah the EVO will fit no problem.
Had 212+ and now a Corsair A70 in the 692.
