DVD Burner - FAIL -- HELP?

Okay, this makes ZERO sense to me. I am burning some DVD's for a client, the data are photos. I have burned HUNDREDS of these, heck even today the first DVD burned fine. But then I get THIS error, saying the disc cannot burn and to check firmware...and I have done everything in the book from re-installing drivers (plug and play, no direct driver) removing the drive and plugging it back in, rolling back updates, etc.

The first DVD burned GREAT, went to burn the second one (just moments later) and this error started and I cannot fix it...not to mention I have lost about 15 discs trying various fixes.

UPDATE: Tried to burn the same files on another computer, got similar error saying the disc could not be written only suggested a bad disc this time.

UPDATE 2: I went back to the first computer, and tried to burn a disc with totally other data...worked fine!

Could one of the exported photo files (JPEG) cause these errors?
