I have an old Dell Optiplex 9020. It doesn't read any disks I put in there. The lights don't come on. I can see it in Device Manager and it's working properly. I have updated the bios and all other outdated drivers as well as uninstalled and reinstalled the CD/DVD drivers. I've been able to get it to work once since it stopped working, but it won't read the disks anymore.
I don't know if this is a connection issue or a software issue. Any help would be appreciated.

obviously not 'working properly'.
I don't know if this is a connection issue or a software issue.
try reconnecting data connection at both ends.

what do you need the drive for?
or a software issue.
you can check the support pages for this system and download/reinstall any related drivers.

usually wouldn't help this type of issue though because Windows would normally load default MS drivers anyway.
