DVD drive not being recognized by neither BIOS nor OS

two months ago i've changed hard disk on my PC,a few days ago i decided to watch a dvd but my DVD drive not being recognized by neither BIOS nor OS

Hi

most likely cause power or data cable disconnected or not fully inserted at DVD drive or motherboard (data)

SATA connectors are easier to partially insert than ATA / IDE connectors + Molex power

If DVD drive correctly connected but not seen by BIOS then circuit board on DVD may have blown (rare)
