Dvd drive problem

So for a while now my computer won't recognize my dvd drive that i have i can't see it in device manager or in my computer where i can see hard drives even if i put a disc on my dvd drive won't do anything i've also check the cables and seems pretty fine im using windows 10 whats the problem ?

Is this a new drive or one from another build? I would say just replace it, and on that note get a usb drive so you can move it to other computers if need be.

Probably dead dvd drive if you plugged everything correctly.

Sorry for the late answer so I found the problem it is the sata port that it wont work my mobo has 4 sata port 2 yellow ones and 2 black ones the 2 black ones wont work only yellow ones are working that I have my 2 hdds on them but in the bios it is recognize the dvd on the black one I have checked if the sata 3 and 4 are enabled but still not working even with reset of bios
