Dvd drive troubleshoot in laptop

Hello,
My Laptop has a DVD-RW Drive, but it is detected in My computers, and if i insert and CD/DVD and click on the drive it shows an error saying "Insert a Disc into the Drive" and automatically ejects the DVD Tray.

It was actually working well previously, the problem was just caused recently. Because of this I'm unable to use any CD to install Softwares or Play games......

Any help would be appreciated........

I Dual Boot my computer with Windows 7 Professional (x64) and Ubuntu 11.10

go to control panel, hardware and sound, devices , device manager, DVD/CD-ROM drives, right click and click on disable and enable it. it'll work..tell me
