Unplug both the power and data cables and plug them back in to make sure its not a cable issue. Check in device manager and make sure that it is seen in there, the windows drivers should be sufficient for it to at least get recognized, it might not perform optimally but it should be recognized. Also check in BIOS, if its not seen in BIOS then there is a hardware issue and its possible your drive is dead.
