My DVD Player software does not work with WindowsXP which I just installed.
It does work fine with Media player, however. There is an annoying pop up
help screen from MS that encourages me to buy a new software. How can I get
rid of that pop up screen when I don't buy the software?

If you refuse to purchase the software, then you're out of luck. XP does
not come with inbuilt DVD decoding software.

You either have it included in your PC when you the PC or you go and
purchase the correct software yourself. Most folks use PowerDVD or
WinDVD... www.gocyberlink.com and www.intervideo.com
