DVD problems

I know this doesn't belong here but the DVD forum doesn't get much action. After about 10 minutes my computer locks up when playing DVD's and locks up imediately when I try to fast forward. I get GDI.EXE and Rundll32
errors. What could be causing these errors??? When I loaded the DVD it insalled this PC Friendly program. Could this be causing my
problems?? Everything else seems to be working fine. So far I'm very happy with my first build and AMD!

Try upgrading to DirectX 8.0. DVD software decoder+WinMe+DirectX7 is a bad combination. Microshaft should have included DirectX 8.0 with WinMe.
