Does anyone know the difference in DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, or any of the other DVD-?? Also, can anyone recommend a top of the line DVD-RAM and a DVD-ROM drive? I like to have both separate, but if anyone knows of a great combo drive that would be even better. Both Scsi and IDE drives would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Again!!

DVD-RAM is in a cartridge form but the DVD-RAM drives can read normal DVDs and CD's too. most can write DVD-R's too(but not DVD-RW). strangely they can't generally write normal CDs.
DVD-RW drives (like HP) can write to normal CDs and DVD-RWs but not DVD-Rs or DVD-RAMs. so.. hope i've helped a bit.

I recommend: Panasonic LF-D311 for DVD-RAM/R
and HP DVD100I for DVD-RW/CD-R/RW
