dvd rw drive

hi Tom
my DVD RW Drive able to read/burn CD-RW BUT
unable to load or read DVD-RW or DVR+RW.
can you let me knew, how to resolve it pleas?

Maybe it has to do with piracy-protection?

If not, windows just blocks it somehow.

Step 1) Press your windows button and type in regedit (it will ask for administrator permission, but that should be fine) 😉.
Step 2) Go to the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SYSTEM -> CurrentControlSet -> Control Class -> 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318
Step 3) Delete the 2 things: 1 = "Lowerfilters", 2 = "Upperfilters"
Step 4) Close the program and restart your pc.
Step 5) Problem resolved
