DVD will not play

Hello!

The DVD drive on my Satellite C75- C7130 will not play a DVD. The drive shows that the movie is in there, but it will not automatically play.

Has it ever worked? What software (application) do you have installed to view videos (Windows Media Center, Media Player, etc.)?

It has worked, yes. I was using CyberLinkDVD, but it stopped working. I uninstalled and tried Media Player. That is also not working.

Have you tried a different DVD? When you view the DVD files in Windows Explorer, right click on one of the .VOB files and try "open with" and select either CyberlinkDVD or Media Player.

Will it play if you run the player and select the drive? It may be that the settings for automatically executing have been changed by an update. Letting things execute automatically when you insert a disk is not very secure. You can easily get a virus that way.
