DVD Writer Always Fails to Burn CDs

Hey, lately my DVD writer always fails to burn a CD disk, here's the error:

Is there any way to fix that problem?

If it fails on multiple disks and with multiple other files, and you tried writing at different speeds, replace the drive.

That's weird. The drive doesn't have any problem reading disks, it seems like the only problem is its writing. Are you sure about that?

Did you try different software to burn the disk? You can also remove the drive and test it in another computer if you want to rule out issues.

Reading disks and writing them is not the same, if a car goes forward but does not go backward, would you say that it can't be the transmission because it goes forward OK? Drives can also fail when it will read a CD fine but not DVDs or vice-versa.
