DVD writer on Lenovo Thinkpad T410 not working at all!!!

HI there! I have a LEnovo Thinkpad T410 and the DVD drive does not work. I checked in the Device Manager and it does not appear there either! When i restart the computer, when BIOS logo is shown, the led indicates that its working, and if i press the eject button, it works. But in the BIOS it does not appear either!!! i want to reinstall Windows 7, i don´t like to do it from an USB drive, (i t didn´t work once). HELP please!!!!

i already ejected the drive and plugged in again and nothing. What i´m wondering about is why it opens and light the led during the BIOS.

Solved! In the BIOS it has a disabled option: Ultrabay disc. i enabled it and it worked. Thanks all
