dvd xp and 98

I made a DVD disc of data on my XP computer and wanted to copy it to
my 98 computer.
Its DVD drive tried and tried to read it but it wouldn't.

Nero said if I did not make it a multi session drive 98 should be able
to read it.

Anyway I can do this?

Were you using packet-writing to burn the disk (Nero's InCD, e.g.)? If so,
the same will have to be installed on the 98 machine.
