Hello,
my dvd player in my pc worked great but now stopped when i put a dvd in it sounds like the laser head is jumping and starts to click

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106289. a clicking noise might signify a bad optical pickup (this is the device with the laser diode and the tracks that move the diode around). Since they are only $18 new, it's probably cheaper to buy a new one than repair this one.
