DVDmax like, TV out functionality?

Does anybody know of non matrox cards that offer TVout like
the matrox DVDmax duel head option.

This essentialy scales digital video from the computer monitor, be it quicktime, real, wmv, avi, MPG or the
output of a DVD player, to a 4:3 or videscreen TV while
maintaining the aspect ratio.

This leaves the computer monitor fully fuctional in a res >640x480, and also allows video embedded in webpages etc to be seen full screenon the TV.

Are there any other cards around that don't just mirror the
monitors display to the TV?

This feature also seems not to have been mentioned in any of the recent reviews of video capeable hardware.

From what I undestand (strictly from card Specs), the GeFeorce2 MX Twinhead can have different pictures on TV (DVD etc) and Monitor (Win Desktop etc)...

It SHOULD be possible to watch a fullscreen movie on your tv (while the controls remain on the monitor) using the geforce MX with TV-out...

but HOW???? I can 't find ANY information on this!!

Can anyone else help me??

Go through Tom's HW Guide for Graphics and look at ALL of the GeForce 2 MX articles as he addresses some of the difficulties that Nvidia apparently had in the department of TV-out and Video dual head capability. Take-Out
