Q1 I want to know whether DVI-D support HDCP or not? It seems hard to figure out as some people agree but some don't...

Q2 I have a zotac gt 730 which I want to connect with my 18.5' 1366x768 Dell monitor which has a VGA input only. For this, i will need a converter. Either a HDMI to VGA or DVI-D to VGA converter. Which one should I get for the best results?

I have external speakers.

DVI-D is definitely HDCP-capable. That's what I'm using with my current graphics card and display panel. NVIDIA Control Panel's View HDCP status shows that my display supports HDCP. I've connected a non-HDCP-capable display panel to the same DVI-D connection and the status will change to unsupported.

dvi-d to vga would most definitely not be.
