DVI-D Monitor mirror but doesnt show up in settings

I had two monitors on windows 8-64 bit and then I downgraded to windows 7 (I don't like win 8 and win 10 wasn't available)
Both monitors are connected and showing mirrors but the device manager only shows "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter"
I am at a loss with what to do because it was working before and now the DVI-D drivers aren't working/existing

since you switched to another OS, you need to install your gpu or igp drivers in order to benefit from its capabilities .
