Monitor turns on, but doesn't show display when connected from VGA to DVI-D Converter, Used a HDMI to connect GPU to my TV and that worked, any way to troubleshoot and fix this?
A DVI-D port does not have the analog signals required for VGA. Are you using an active (powered) adapter? If not, then that is your problem.
Yes, it's active I used to use this for a long time, and it always worked then suddenly once i was gaming and i got a black screen but my game audio was still playing, and when i restarted my pc nothing happened and there was no responses.
Does the display show up in the list when you "detect multiple displays"? If so, try changing the resolution or refresh to a safe starting point...
How do I do that with a black screen? do i do it through the other monitor? it shows up on Nvidia Control panel and when it says how many diplays I have it says 1 and 2, saying the old monitor as #1 and the TV as #2 but when i try changing the resolution of the 1st monitor the broken one everything is grayed out
You have too many variables to determine for sure. The monitor might have died, the adapter might have died, could be a config problem. I don't have a recommended troubleshooting path.
