DVI-D to VGA converter problem.

Hi guys, hope all is well,

I have a problem with my display, I just bought a DVI-D to VGA converter, for my monitor, I plugged the converter into my GPU (MSI Radeon RX560 4GDDR5), The GPU has a DL DVI-D display port. I plugged the converter into that port in my gpu, I plugged the VGA cable into my converter and then into my D-SUB monitor, The monitor only has a VGA display port.

The monitor goes into power saving mode, I am assuming it does not recognise the gpu,
Any help is much appreciated.

What converter you bought? It has to active one, otherwise it will not work.

It will not work - it is only for cards that have DVI-I ports that carry analog signal required for VGA.
