DVI-D to VGA

I bought a gpu that have only DVI-D / HDMI entry and i use a VGA cable on my monitor. My question is what cable/adapter I have to buy? I know it sounds like an obvious question but I don't know much about cable connectors :S

Yeah I thought in buy an hdmi cable but the hdmi exit of the gpu is an hdmi-2.0b and I dont know if is compatible with the hdmi entry of the monitor. Is they compatible?

I have this hdmi cable(photo). You think it will work on the gpu? I've tested it on the monitor and is compatible
