Dvi- d versus dvi-i

Ps4 hdmi out to a dvi-d to display on my computer moniter. It doesn't work !. The monitor say signal out of range. What is the diffrence between dvi-d and a dvi-i ?

DVI-D carries only a digital signal and will only display when connected to a digital input (DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort).
DVI-I carries both a digital and analog signal and will display to any analog or digital input (VGA, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort).
