DVI - I to DVI - D?

Hi, so I have a graphics card that has a DVI - I port but my monitor has a DVI - D port is there some way I can still connect them?

Yes! the DVI-D cable (DVI-D on both ends) is compatible with both DVI ports.

If you see anything displayed, the connection is working!.. so your problem is something else and unrelated to the DVI cable. You are not areg631 are you, (maybe using another user account)?... I'd suggest you open your own thread with the right tittle.. that should attract more people wanting to help.

Describe the monitor make and model, the video cable type, the computer video port type, if that message is all you see and goes blank or not, is the monitor always on, if you have shut it down, if you've connected to VGA or HDMI, add all the information you can.
