Dvi i to vga adapter missing pins

So as the title says, I got some pins missing in my dvi i adapter. Im wondering, will it still send signal to my monitor?

For passive adapter analog signal pins are required - only DVI-I, DVI-A will work.
For active adapter DVI-D pins are enough.

The 4 small pins are needed to send analog signals to a vga monitor.
Likely, you have the wrong adapter.

It seems like i have dvi a adapter. But my graphics output is dvi i. Will it still work though?

It should. The difference is that the I version has an added 4 pins for analog output that you will not be using.
