DVI on card to Displayport on monitor - possible?

I've seen a few threads and answers for going the other way, but in my situation I have a video card with dual (dual link) DVI outputs, and am looking at getting new monitors which only have display point inputs.

Is there an adaptor or device that will convert a dvi signal to display-port, as I'm not too familiar with the bits n bytes of the two standards..???

What gpu do you have? how many monitors will you be using?
It might be easier to get a Displayport hub instead as you would need an active DVI to DP adapter.

The GPUs vary, but currently they are Nvidia quadro FX3500 and Quadro K2200 I'm also considering a similar situation at home, where I have an AMD HD5770 and a GTX750 Ti. All of them have dual DVI, and the later cards (the K2200 and the GTX 750) also have a single display port in addition.

I'm looking to run a pair of monitors at least - on the later GPUs possibly 3 monitors. The work setup (with the quadro cards) are being used for CAD, whereas the home setup will be a mix of CAD, office and gaming.

For the cards without displayport, you could get an active DVI to displayport adapter. For the cards that do have have one displayport, a displayport hub will allow you to connect to three via one displayport.

Got any links for the adaptors?- all I can find are ones to connect dvi displays to display port PCs - not the other way round.. ?

Eww.. at the best part of £100 I think it'd would be cheaper buying a new graphics card!
