DVI or HDMI to VGA

Hello guys, i bought a GTX 1050Ti StormX 4GB Palit edition and it doesn't have VGA cable. It has DVI-D and HDMI cable so i need to buy an adapter.

So my question is: Is there going to be any difference in the performence if i buy DVI-D to VGA adapter instead of HDMI to VGA ?
Because there is a huge difference in prices between these two.

In either case you need an ACTIVE converter. The $1 adapter plug WON'T work. If you post links to the devices you are thinking about, we can verify that they should work. The cost between HDMI and DVI-D shouldn't be much.

My question is about the performance. Is there any performance difference in HDMI and DVI-D converters. Which one should i pick for gaming ?
I know there is a big difference between HDMI and DVI-D but i don't know if it still counts when it comes to converters. They are converted to VGA so it shouldn't count, right ?

There won't be any difference.

Either adapter will probably be limited to 1080p 60hz. All the high end features of HDMI won't be relevant.
