Dvi port on graphics card not working

Hi, I recently finished my first pc build, and everything was working fine at first, until the display turned black and said there was no input. I restarted my computer and the monitor, and it worked again, but then the monitor turned black after a while and restarting didn't do anything. I'm guessing it's a problem with the DVI port on my graphics card, as I tried plugging in a different monitor into the dvi port, which didn't work either. My guess is it's a problem with the mobo or the gpu, and I'd like to know what you guys think.

Cpu: fx-8320
Mobo: ASRock 980DE3/U3S3
Gpu: AMD 280x Sapphire
Psu: evga 600b
Hdd: WD 1gb caviar blue
