I have a GeForce 950 graphics card and I just bought a curved monitor. I overlooked the fact that my curved monitor only uses HDMI. I can't get a new video card now.

I need a DVI to HDMI converter.

Is there anything I need to know before buying or will any converter work?

TIA

HDMI and DVI are fundamentally the same thing using a different connector and HDMI adding a few things like audio and optional integrated LAN that almost no devices implement. All you need is a passive adapter to change the plug or an HDMI-to-DVI cable.

Resolution and refresh rate may be limited by the DVI output's bandwidth limit which is (at least officially) much lower than newer HDMI iterations. Non-officially, DVI can at least theoretically be pushed about as high as the HDMI version supported by the GPU can go with good enough cable and DVI-HDMI adapter.
