Dvi vs hdmi

so quick question i have syncmaster 22 inch 2253bw 2ms 8000:1 contrast. It is dvi only and i love the size is there much of difference between dvi vs hdmi? im using a 7850 videa card with it.

Converting between HDMI and DVI (in either direction) causes zero loss of video quality. The only issue would be if you were looking at a 120hz signal or higher resolution than 1920x1080, which monitors and video cards often support when using dual-link DVI (or DisplayPort in some cases), but not when using HDMI (even though HDMI 1.4 is supposed to allow higher resolutions)

The only difference between DVI and HDMI is that HDMI carries audio and video and DVI carries only video.
