I run a filmmaking event that accepts submissions on miniDV from
different cameras. I have one submission shot on a Panansonic DVX100A
that is giving me problems. The tape plays OK (acceptable to view) in
the Canon ZR-80 I use as a deck. However, after transfer, the audio
seems to drop out regularly and some frames "blur" periodically making
it unwatchable.

Other movies shot on DVX100A cameras transfer acceptably, so I'm not
sure what is special about this tape. Does anyone have an idea?

Jin

P.S. I have tried using DVFilmaker on the footage as suggested by
adamwilt.com, but it didn't help.

sounds like the camera or deck this copy was made on had a dirt or alignment
problem .
