The first thing that would help is if someone explained these dx11 cards to me, i want to know why they are going to be so great. And also, i was wondering if i should replace my GTX 295 with an ATI dx 11 card (or cards since my mobo has crossfire) or an Nvidia dx 11 card when they come out. If it changes anything my processor is a 955 BE, i just hear ATI cards work better with them.

I doubt DX11 will take off any faster then DX10 did, for reasons I already explained a million times on this forum. That being said, DX11 cards, at least based on leaked specs, will blow away the current generation of cards, so to me, DX11 support will be secondary to performance.

i dont think the dx11 cards will have immidiate support, at least not in the first 6 months, so i would rather wait until the dx11 generation cards are well sttled, reason(remember windows vista) and your dx10 cards can run all the games so just wait and save yourself trouble and money

your going to be putting down a good 700 bucks the day a 5870 x2 hits the shelf's, and thats why i didnt buy a 4870 x2.... and go for ATI if you want power, and Nvidia if you want the ability to just keep adding...

ya know i almost droped my 3870 x2 in favor of a pair of lovely 9800's when they came out but i stayed true to ATI and im in a happy place still.
