Dx11/12 issues after windows update

After the latest windows update, some of my games, that I was always able to play without any problems, are either not starting up or giving me the error message that my gpu isn't Dx 11/12 compatible (I have the gtx 1070 so there should't be any problems). When I run dxdiag I get no error messages and it says that Dx 12 is installed. When trying to update the Directx in the game files it says that the latest version is downloaded without errors. PLease help!
