i5-4430 is the stock CPU that comes with it, which is a Socket LGA 1150 processor.

That means it might be possible to replace that chip with an i5-4690, or even an i7-4790, as those are also 84W CPUs. I would not recommend getting the 4690K or 4790K; those are unlocked CPUs for overclocking, & I highly doubt a proprietary board will allow for overclocking.

Note that I said "might". Without knowing for sure what the board will support, I can't guarantee that it will even take other Haswell chips, let alone any other LGA 1150 chips. However...if you look on Gateway's website, maybe they have upgrade kits or packages for your PC that might...
