Hi guys, i have a problem with Dying Light (This problem occured after i go out from the tower, After finishing the first mission). My FPS is good (40 - 60), but if i move my character, i get FPS Drops and Suttering, making the game unplayable. Especially if i attack the zombies. I tried every video on youtube about increasing the FPS, Lag fix, etc. But it didn't work. So i had no choice but to create a thread here.

Thanks, i will appreciate your help :)

Specs:
AMD FX-6300 @ 3.50 GHz
PowerColor Devil R9 270x
Corsair Vengeance 4GB RAM

Yes i tried lowering the settings but it didn't work.
BTW, i saw other people on youtube posting gameplays about dying light with same specs as my pc but they didn't have lag spikes and fps drops.

Check if your temps stay in normal range (<65 for CPU <80 for GPU) Have you tried OC graphics card or CPU? If so, then try returning to stock settings and see if that fixes it (maybe you put too much juice in)

Yes my cpu and gpu temp is in normal range and i didn't OC'd my GPU and CPU.
My other games like Assassin's Creed Rogue didn't have that kind of problem. AC Rogue also has 40-60 FPS Stable without lag spikes and fps drops.
Oh, and i recently installed the latest patch on Dying Light

Sorry i forgot to mention but i already tried that method and my driver is up to date.
Maybe i really have a bad luck 🙁

I had a problem with Metro LL, but it was because PhysX was enabled by default in the game, my R9 290 just couldn't take it, <10 FPS on any settings 😀 took me 3 hours to find the problem. A simple checkbox in game settings. As far as I know, Dying Light doesn't have PhysX.
Do you have Vsync on or off? Try with both settings as to Vsync does crazy stuff so the picture doesn't tear apart

Maybe there's a problem with PSU? Try monitoring the voltages for GPU, although I'm not sure what would be the optimal result.

I tried turning vsync off and it improved the fps but still, there are lag spikes and fps drops. My PSU is still new. I bought a month ago. Corsair VS650. And i play heavy games about 5 hours a day because im busy of playing Counter Strike Global Offensive.

Ok, then I have a proposal which you may not like. Everytime you get a framerate spike, JUMP AROUND! you won't even notice the lag while trying not to hit anything 😀
Maybe you have enabled something that eats up a lot of resources in Nvidia control panel? Try resetting it to defaults.

Also, just cause it's brand new doesn't mean it's good. It might be a problem, but I don't think it would cause this much trouble, but I would suggest to look at voltage graphs and recommended specs.

LMAO
Ok thanks i will JUMP EVERY SECOND! LOOOL
